Diane Delpy-Sampson, Associate Program Director at ImCheck

Updated: May 11, 2023

· When did you join ImCheck?

I joined Imcheck as Associate Program Director 4 months ago.

· Why did you choose to work for ImCheck?

I made the switch from a small molecule (chemistry produced) biotech to a monoclonal antibody (biologically produced) biotech. While the business model remains the same I had to adjust to all the manufacturing and regulatory aspects surrounding bigger molecules like antibodies and especially in the context of immuno-oncology where the immune system plays such an important role in the therapeutics effects and side effects.

· What have you learned and what are you still learning at ImCheck?

Imcheck's academic spirit is certainly alive and well. Everyone has to take responsibility and be proactive as we are a small group with many smart and experienced people. Unlike in larger companies, you cannot hide behind large silo departments. It's challenging but rewarding.

The lines of communication are short. There is no hierarchy. I would say: The work is organised more organically, from the bottom up rather than the top down.

That's what I like best, because you can get things done faster and everyone's contribution is important and valued.

· What are the benefits of working at a company like ImCheck?

ImCheck has a great density of experienced and talented individuals, it’s a perfect opportunity for mentoring and learning from their experiences.

· What would you say to someone who wants to join ImCheck?

Be motivated to be your best and to excel.

· Which ImCheck values do you identify with the most and why?

Transparency, opportunity and efficiency. (1) Transparency because people can respectfully share their opinions and are listened to; (2) Opportunity because at this stage of its development ImCheck offers the chance to get involved in various projects and mission if one is motivated to ask and perform the task. And finally (3) Efficiency, because it’s asked to employees to be reactive and proactive, the decisions do not require extensive validation processes so everyone should be ready to act when necessary.
